Waxing lyrical … in Arnhem!

For anyone else who’s just as mad about wax print as we are here at the South is Blooming, there’s an exhibition for us at the Museum of Modern Art in Arnhem: Six Yards Guaranteed Dutch Design.

Look at all that glorious colour! Can’t wait to see it live.

The exhibition is a hommage to Vlisco fabric, it includes work by varied artists and designers such as Wangechi Mutu, Kara Walker, Yinka Shonibare, Acne, Dries van Noten, PETROU, to name a few! I’m actually also looking forward to finding out more about the history of wax print and the Vlisco firm.

See details on the website. The exhibition is on until May 7th. I’m planning a visit … anyone want to join me??
